  • Aamanns Replik. With generous glazing towards Paper Island, this restaurant offers some tasty traditional variety alongside a great view.
  • Hart Bageri. Come here for the best cinnamon twists ever! The Holmen branch has a great view onto the port.
  • Copenhagen is full of cosy coffee shops. Lille Petra was designed in collaboration with interior brand &tradition. Original Coffee has many branches and an online store as well.
  • You will find Smørrebrød in a lot of places – they seem to compete over how much toppings a slice of bread can hold. We loved hand-peeled shrimps and a version with potatoes.

  • Nyhavn is not to be missed. The colorful houses are Copenhagen‘s postcard image.
  • Den Lille Havfrue –The Little Mermaid from the famous tales of H.C. Andersen rests as a bronze statue in the port.
  • Grundtvigs Church. Architectural highlight with elegant exterior and interiors.
  • Papirøen – Paper Island. The new urban quarter of Copenhagen with prestigious architecture by Cobe Architects. Kengo Kuma‘s Water Front Cultural Center, a water culture house everyone to bathe in, is supposed to open in 2026.
  • The bridges in Copenhagen are some of the most innovative ones with integrated opening mechanisms. The Cirkelbroen was designed by artist Olafur Eliasson. The Trangravsbroen – also known as the Butterfly bridge – connects three banks while two wings can flip up.
  • 3daysOfDesign. Annual design highlight, where brands and headquarters open their doors in June. Creatives from all over the world come to get inspired.
  • If you can arrange it, fit in a visit to the famous Louisiana museum. The 1 hour train ride is worth it to see the elegant architecture and top-notch exhibitions.
